It took three maps, two overtimes and one absolutely unhinged Jett ultimate, but Neon Rift are through to the VCT Challengers playoffs after a 2–1 win over Titan Nine on Saturday night.
Map one: Ascent
Titan Nine came out with a slow default we hadn’t seen in their recent VODs, and it worked — they took Ascent 13–9. Coach Ghost called a tactical timeout at 4–9 and switched Lumen to an aggressive B-main setup that bought five rounds back, but not enough.
Map two: Lotus
Our pick, and it showed. Hexa’s Astra smokes cut Titan’s retakes in half and Vyper went 24–11 on the map alone. 13–6, never in doubt.
“We trained the B-rush 200 times this week. When they finally gave us the space, it felt like muscle memory.” — Vyper
Map three: Sunset
The decider went to double overtime. At 14–14 Kairo called a full-commit A split off a fake, and Vyper’s 4K closed out the series. See the full schedule on our matches page.
